Terre Noire Syrah ~ 2010 Vintage
Champion Red Wine Southern Cape Wine Show 2011
Red black colour intensity with strong smokey, leather, black pepper and dark roast flavours and an abundance of ripe black fruit-notes of earthy compost. Medium full weight, well structured middle palate and full round tannins with a fresh balance. Meaning "black earth", a reflection on both the great Swartberg mountains and the black highly organic soil in which this Syrah vineyard is planted, hence the name "Terre Noire".
